Great win - down by 11 almost mid-way through the 4th, and the last second shot by Rondo to send into OT. Miami is a good team, and DWade had a big game, and still able to win, sans KG, Marquis, House. Funny how we beat Orl and Miami on the road, but lose to the Clips and Warriors. We must like FL.

I love Rondo...Starters were great today when it mattered...The team was sloppy with waaaay too many turnovers and with Wade dominating the whistles but we overcame it for an impressive win

Each and every game, Rondo keeps getting better. I swear to God that if he still continues to improve, it will make Ainge look like a genius for getting Rondo to re-sign at such a low price.

What did Pierce play? All but 5 minutes or so. He coasted most of the way from the little I saw. Will watch game tonite. Perk is showing signs of moving up to the next step. Even if they are baby steps and he excels performing against lesser talented teams that's more than the usual for him. He certainly looked fine and Doc has that frown off his face. The refs will like that. He's exhibiting a nice array of shots. Fall aways, spins and free throws are smoother. I just know he likes the offense action but has been like the 4 to 5 choice every possession. They will start looking for him more now.

The league has instituted strict rules for players with a fever. They are not allowed to travel with the team and are to be kept away from the rest of the team. With the concern about H1N1, even if Eddie wanted to, he couldn't go because of league rules that prohibit players with a fever from being with the team. I would assume that Perk didn't have a fever so was able to travel. EXACTLY

If you're looking for a guy to score in bunches in the 4th quarter you're looking at the wrong guy. Thats not his job on this team although he has shown he is capable of doing so if they need him to. His job is to control the tempo, harass the opposing PG and facilitate for his teammates which he has been doing all season and doing so when the games are in the balance.

What an absolutely awesome end to that game. I don't remember experiencing that kind of range of emotions during such a short time as I did in this game. First the very strange iso play by PP that was so bad. Then the foul on Wade and the 2 FT's then the steal from Ray and the layup "game winner" then the alley oop to Rondo to tie. Then the OT Oh my!!! great execution by the Celtics down the stretch.
Pierce's timing was off and he was rusty but his presence was important because they had to stay home on him. Ray once again came up with clutch shots and FTs down the stretch. Perk was a BEAST! He spent the previous 2 days very ill and just played great. I love Perk in case anyone didn't know that! And Rondo was just absolutely fantastic. Anyone still doubting that this kid deserves to be an all star should have had any of those doubts removed after last night. Sheed did a good job on Beasley. So good that Beasley didn't even get into the game down the stretch or in OT.
The best move of the night was the players on the bench keeping Sheed from getting a T after he fouled out. They were standing in front of him with their arms up and talking to him and did a super job of keeping him from getting what surely would have been another T without their efforts. Walker kept telling him look at your feet. Don't look at the court. Don't look at the ref just look at your feet. I think Billy earned some playing time with that effort.

Watched the game in and out but did catch the last few minutes plus OT. Good win for the team. The team does run smoother with Rondo in there. Nice to see Perk, Sheed and Baby mix it up down low since Miami has no interior big men to speak of. Pierce played 43 minutes while Giddens got shafted. This is why I dislike Doc's management skills. Giddens played decent in his start that he got yet Doc rather ride PP for 40+ minutes in January when he could easily have subbed Giddens in there to spot PP and keep his minutes down. Just don't understand Doc's logic sometimes. I really hope KG sits for awhile because that seems to be the only hope for the vets to not get overworked in the regular season.

Not a diss on the big 3, but if I had to choose two all-stars for the C's this yr, I'd pick Rondo and Perk. Personally I think Pierce should also make it. Since KG will be voted in though, one of Perk or Rondo will get screwed unfortunately.
As tb727 was telling me, people have to give credit to Pierce on that pass too. That's not an easy pass to put on the money, especially considering he's not a pg and the circumstances.

I'm glad we have Wallace. He has helped no doubt. Not as much as most thought though. Is he a Moron? A loose canon type? He has absolutely no self control. Will he hurt us in a big game? I think he can and might. I can't believe they can't tighten him up some. The team harmony works well with him but this hombre doesn't like the law.

Well...wasn't exactly close. I mean we did have a lead at one point but then lost it when Wade got real hot and we were down by 11 or something so I can see some logic in keeping Pierce in over Giddens but obviously it isn't too smart when Pierce has just come back from injury.
