According to the Globe, Tom Thibodeau withdrew from the Kings job and is expected back with the Celtics.
Celtics coach Doc Rivers said that assistant Tom Thibodeau withdrew from consideration from the head coaching job with the Sacramento Kings.Thibodeau, who also interviewed for the Philadelphia 76ers job, is expected to rejoin the Celtics bench next season.
This is good news. I think his defensive rotations are very important to winning a title. Defense wins championships (as long as we have enough healthy players to run his sets). Makes me wonder if maybe they have offered him the Celtics head job when Doc leaves. Doc talks alot about missing his family. Maybe if they get another title next season he will leave and hand down the job to Thibs.

Great news!!! I really like Tom Thib, and am fairly confident we are the defensive team we are because of him.
Yeah, I know Doc talks about taking a sabatical one of these days (sabatical meaning he takes time off, but will come back), and this may be the perfect situation for Tom to step in for a year and be head coach. Gets his feet wet, and see how he does as head coach.
The Boston Celtics will return to prominence. --Prepare yourself for the Rajon experience

thirstyboots18: KO started tonight. I really don't care for him...he is to careless with the ball, and when it is in hands with his back to the basket he freezes...handing it off in a hurry to the first person to get close enough to him.

thirstyboots18: I think KO is talented, also AB is talented, someone must want them for a decent trade.
