Game Notes:
The Celtics are playing in their 3rd game in 4 nights. They are also playing in the first of back to back games with the second in front of the home crowd in Hartford, CT. Even though the Celtics game notes list the the regular starters for this game, it is doubtful that Doc will play all the veterans in this one and if he does start them, they will play limited minutes.

Doc still has a very tough decision as to which of the 3 players who are fighting for the 15th roster spot to keep. He also will be looking to get the younger players playing time to evaluate them along with getting the veterans some rest after playing most of them over 30 minutes in their last game. On the other side, the Raptors will be looking to avenge their earlier loss to the Celtics.

Sadly all I can see is ESPN's game cast and that doesnt really show anything other than stats.

Speaking of which, does anyone think Rondo will start getting superstar calls in the future? The sort that Wade gets? Or do the refs just hate the Celtics too much?

I think this is the biggest factor on how far the C's go this year. If Rondo can improve his FT to the point where he will start looking for fouls instead of trying to avoid them. We need a guy that can get to the line in crunch time. If he would get more aggresive going to the hoop, he could be that guy.

MY favorite part of the game was Tommy saying to Mike Gorman when he jinxed Rondo shooting FT's, "we are going to have to send you back to salem state to get your witchcraft degree again."

I wish Bradley would get more minutes. He has had minutes in very short spurts but it's impossible to get anything going that way. He should overtake Von Wafer...... He manned up Barbosa and looked really good doign it.

Wafer on the other hand was aggressive offensively on the wings and with his shot and looked good, but defensively he is a work in progress. He's ok defensively but he isn't near Bradley's level. Once Bradley's offense starts to come we will see Wafer go byebye... I think Wafer is here to compliment him because of his offense. I think Doc is holding Bradley out and playing him in short spurts because he is young and hasn't found his offense yet.

Gody is going to be a player, if he takes time and works on his shto and continues to get more comfortable, which I think he will do. Right now he's still just jacking shots up. IF those start going in he is going to be very good.

Semih also continues to look good and versatile, but I've noticed the physical style of play has started to get to him a bit. He is still active but being pushed around a bit more.

Nate Robinson has been the star of preseason so far..... Rondo was also excellent this game.

Ray Allen also continues his solid play and is 117 3 pointers away from being the alltime leader.

MArquis also continues to look like vet, playing solid offensively nad defensively and answering some of the SF questions.

The thing I'm hoping for is with the bench we have this will make Ray and Pierce that much more solid and consistent. Same with KG, Shaq, Rondo etc.. Last year there were too many ups and downs and we were relying on these guys to carry us. Ray this preseason as well as Pierce and KG have been perfect imo where they come in put up 15-20 points on good shooting and sit down. If they struggle we have guys we can go to instead of forcing the issue.

If I'm Doc making cuts with 2 preseason games left. Bradley and Lasme take Wafer and Mario West's spots with the 3rd unit.

Wafer and West get cut.

I tend to think Doc is playing these guys late to showcase them while we protect Delonte, BRadley and Lasme.....

Hmm Bradley has yet to impress so I don't know if he even makes the cut. He needs to go to the development league for abit while he works that ankle back into form...because Wafer today at least showed he could stroke the long ball.

I don't think it's all that sudden. He said that he worked on his outside shooting this summer, taking 1000 3's a day all off season.

Since even KG, Pierce, and Ray don't get star calls like Wade gets, I don't think Rondo's chances of getting them are all that good either. I'm not sure why but the league, including the refs do have something against the Celtics.

Bradley won't get cut. He's been working his way back from the offseason surgery and has had some problems with swelling after playing so Doc is taking it slow with him. But he definitely has potential. He is a very good defender and I think the rest of his game will come.

Lasme didn't play last night because he had some visa problems and Doc didn't want to take the chance on having a delay while he got it straight. I think Lasme should get that last spot. Even with Delonte out for the first 10 games, I'd go with Lasme over Wafer or M West.

What I love the most about Harangody is his tenacious rebounding. The guy has a nose for the ball and goes and gets it. I cringe when I see him put up a shot put like shot but somehow they seem to go in. I like the kid. a lot. Plus he looks like a young Tommy Heinsohn from a distance when he's on the court. .
