I have also seen that they may buy out Bowen and Danny is interested. I find Bowen a tough guy to like because he plays so dirty. But, if he is a Celtic, he'd be our dirty player. I almost would consider Bowen a throw in if we could get Mbah a Moute. I really like his game.

That would be sweet. But why would they deal us a Moute for pruitt and scal? They must see something in pruitt i guess? A Moute is a guy i forgot about who is a very good young defensive player. That deal makes sense.

I don't know why they would or even if they would. Danny may have proposed it and was turned down. Or maybe it is just a baseless rumor. Who knows. But it is fun to think about. Could be money saving since both would be expiring contracts.

Someone has to give me a realistic reason why Milwaukee would do this trade before I'll give this any merit.

MIL is looking to cut salary, aka expiring contracts.

Same reason they gave Jefferson away for next to nothing. They are strapped for cash. Bowen is an expiring contract, but for about three quarters of a million more than Scal. Mbah a Moute is signed for 2 more years. Gabe would be expiring. So it isn't much of a savings for them but when you are having money problems, every little bit helps.

MaM contract is a 2nd round rookie contract, so it isnt guaranteed. Basically all of these contracts are only guaranteed through 09/10 season.
And if the Bucks were that intent on saving money, they would just cut Bowen. Once Bowen signed with another team for vet minimum (around 1.5 mill) they would be only on the hook for the rest of his deal (2.5 mill).
MaM is a productive bench player making a paltry sum for the next two years. I can't imagine them giving him up for a combo of Pruitt/Scal. There has got to be a better deal out there for them than that. We'd at least have to spice it up with a draft pick or something.

I would love to see my fellow Bruin Mbah a Moute in Green (especially if we dump two Trojans in the process!), but would imagine we would have to throw in a draft pick -- which would be fine by me; it is unlikely that a late first round pick would earn much playing time on our team. The Prince could defend, is athletic, hard working, a team player, and could properly pronounce 'ubuntu."
